Our first Winter jam bought together 36 young changemakers from around New Zealand for five days at Living Springs near Lyttleton. We worked on developing our knowledge of facilitation and active citizenship.
We only ran one Winter Jam, in June 2012. Our motivation for organising this event was to try using the retreat format that we'd developed through the Summer Jam's and applying it to a more focused learning environment. The 2012 Winter Jam had two streams:
1. Active Citizenship - this was a group that we'd invited who were all interested in engaging more intentionally with ploitical processes and active citizenship.
2. Facilitation - this was a group of young leaders from within the ReGeneration network who want to develop thier faciliation skills and look more indepth at how ReGeneration events work.
