The 2011 ReGeneration Roadtrip got off to a great start in Nelson and Tasman. A huge thanks to our wonderful hosts at the Braemar Ecovillage, the backpackers we stayed at and the beautiful Riverside Community
Iain Frengley from www.splashroom.co.nz and Lani Evans had the immense privilege of interviewing a couple of wonderful women – Verena Maeder from SolidEarth and Charlotte Squire from positive news journal Happyzine.
We all had many amazing conversations throughout the week with people from the Victory Community, the Nelson-Tasman Community Housing Trust, the New Hub, Q-Youth and heaps more. A real highlight was catching up with Andy Booth from SolarCity. Our short film about him will be available in a month or so, but in the meantime, check out his current work http://www.solarcity.co.nz/
Our crew also had the pleasure of staying with two intentional communities – the Braemar Ecovillage in Nelson and the Riverside Community just outside of Motueka. It’s inspiring to see people living out their ideals and taking on board concepts of peace, equality and community.
We’re already launching into week two of the ReGeneration Roadtrip on the stunning West Coast before passing through Wanaka and Te Anau on our way South. Please check out the region near you for events and updates. We'd love to see you when we come through your place!
